How Hurayra Began

In 2023, Aihtsham Rashid set out to solve a problem close to his heart — finding cat food in the UK that met both Islamic standards of purity and the ethical treatment of animals. Motivated by love for his cats, Ivy and Coco, and a deep sense of responsibility, Aihtsham began a global search for a solution that truly aligned with his values.

That mission led to the creation of Hurayra — the UK’s first brand to offer halal-certified cat food that’s not only pure and ethical, but also nutritious, delicious, and made with all-natural ingredients.

Our range includes three tasty flavours — Tuna, Ocean Fish, and Chicken plus a special formula just for Kittens. Each recipe is high in protein and made with natural ingredients from trusted sources. We’ve left out all the unnecessary fillers and harmful additives you’ll find no grain, wheat, soybean meal, artificial colours, additives, or preservatives in any of our products.
